  • Clearing Trees

    Introducing our Community Partner:

    Advantage Enterprises

    The dream is coming together
    more and more each day.

Thanks to Advantage’s professionalism and expertise.

The Feller Buncher streamlines the tree cutting process. Its 18″ blade and grabbing device can cut and place trees into a neat pile with maximum precision—a process that would otherwise take 2-3 machines and hours more time.

The Grapple Skidder pinches thousands of pounds of trees in its “claw.” The trees are then dragged from the cut site to the landing.

At the landing, the crew separates the trees by size. Trees that exceed 22″ in diameter are trimmed and stacked for the log truck. The remaining trees are fed into the chipper or cut for cord wood.

The Grapple Cam can rotate and pivot, making it easy for the operator to accurately stack logs on the Log Truck.

“Advantage Enterprises has worked on many exciting projects over the past 24 years. I will say this one is the most exciting and motivating project yet.”

    —Matt Gagner, Owner

  • Hello, John Deere

    introducing our newest Sponsor:

    John Deere
    Schmidt Equipment

    The dream team.
    Bigger. Stronger. Faster.

There’s nothing like a John Deere.

We’re proud to announce John Deere with Schmidt Equipment as our newest sponsor!

Their contributions have been instrumental in the construction of 508INTL. We couldn’t have asked for better partners.

John Deere is a great New England success story. What started as an innovative steel plow company in Vermont nearly 175 years ago has become an international icon. Not everyone gets a color named after them… and a bunch of country song shout outs.

We’re grateful to Rob Guerin and the Schmidt Equipment team for their unwavering quality and care throughout the years. They’ve spent the last fifty years serving the construction industry in Massachusetts and Rhode Island and making possible many other large projects in the area.

Please join us in thanking our sponsor for helping make 508INTL a reality!

    It’s Christmas
    morning
    around here.

We’re moving at lightning speed with the Deere 290G LC Excavator.

25,000 pounds of dig force makes moving stumps, boulders, and topsoil feel like playing in a sandbox. Even with the added muscle, the controls are super smooth. Throw in Deere’s fuel efficiency and you’re looking at a champion.

Deere, you make it look so easy.

Need to transport 50,000lb payloads all day long? The Deere 250D-II Articulated Dump Truck is where it’s at.

Our 250D hauls huge payloads over rough terrain like a boss. Rocks, fill, eight elephants… it gets just about anything from A to B in record time. Productivity on the job site is off the charts.

The John Deere fleet brings serious hustle to 508INTL.

    Visit

I will never put my name on

in it the best that is in me.

A big thank you to all the families who have supported and helped bring the project to life.
Stay tuned! We plan to host a public groundbreaking ceremony for the venue this summer.

  • Staking the driveway

4,000 feet of driveway is marked and ready to go.

    Why stake the driveway?
What we build needs to accurately reflect the construction plans. Stakes are used to mark the location of planned structures. Then the construction team uses the stakes as on-site reference points throughout construction.

Jeremy Croteau, co-owner and professional land surveyor, used a GPS Unit to identify the exact position of the new driveway. Geo-sync orbit satellite data gets within one thousandth of a survey foot!

Every fifty feet or so, the survey team hammered a stake into the ground to mark the driveway centerline. They went with a sprayed marker when the centerline fell on the existing old farm road.

The stakes line up to form what will soon be the driveway. Next, the construction team will come in and connect the dots!

All you need is the plan,
    the road map, and
    the courage to press
    on to your destination.

  • 508 STRONG

For the last year and a half, we’ve been known as SunSet City. The name commemorated the farm that once operated on the property: Sunset Hill Farm.

The community has rallied around the project and spread the word about SunSet City with signs, shirts, petitions, websites, and FB posts.

As a way of saying thank you and showing the ultimate form of community pride, we’ve renamed the project 508 International.

508 is our area code—it’s part of everyone just as everyone is part of this project. As the programs and events take shape, we see that the project will have a much larger reach than “city”—it’s already attracting professional athletes, emerging artists, and innovative entrepreneurs from near and far. “International” reflects the diverse talent and competition coming right to our backyard.

Moving forward, the project will be known as 508 International, or 508INTL for short. We’ve even heard “The 508.” SunSet City will continue to exist as a support management company.

    WE 508.

  • Permits in hand

IT’S OFFICIAL!!! We are permitted for a 23-acre action sports venue in central Massachusetts! It’s been a pleasure working hand-in-hand with our community throughout the process. We couldn’t have done it without your support and advice. Thank you.

Since the beginning, our mission has been to provide a positive environment for families, athletes, and businesses to thrive. We’ve designed the venue specifically for community gatherings and safe riding. We’re taking it even further with programs and events that bring out the best in all of us. Stay tuned as our sports roster and events calendar take shape.

Whether you’re an amateur or pro, we are dedicated to supporting your pursuit of greatness on and off the track. We want to see the next generation of great athletes emerge for here. As Warren Buffett said, “Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”

Time to “plant a tree” that shades generations to come! We break ground August 1, 2016 and open spring 2017. Follow us for breaking news, sneak peeks, and exclusive giveaways.
